This is a segment from a letter that Jim Elliot wrote (if you don't know who he was, read Shadow of the Almighty...or look it up):
(He's talking about his principle about finding a wife) "No one warns young people to follow Adam's example. He waited till God saw his need. Then God made Adam sleep, prepared for his mate, and brought her to him. We need more of this 'being asleep' in the will of God. Then we can receive what He brings us in His own time, if at all. Instead we are set as bloodhounds after a partner, considering everyone we see until our minds are so concerned with the sex problem that we can talk of nothing else when bull-session time comes around. | We're both in the same curriculum...the government one. The segment is from chapter 4. In my book, it's page 50, but it might be different for you. |
